The Hele Mai Maui Long Range Transportation Plan 2040 is a vision for Maui's transportation needs and opportunities over the next 20 years. Transportation projects must be identified in Hele Mai Maui to be eligible for federal funding. Hele Mai Maui was developed using data and public input, and adopted by the Maui MPO Policy Board on December 12, 2019.
Transportation Demand Management
Maui MPO continues to work on near-term actions from Hele Mai Maui. Transportation demand management is an important tool to mitigate traffic impacts by giving people more options.
